Big Day (Bird Race)

13 September 1998

by Brandon K. Percival

Big Day Statistics:

Comments:

"After postponing the big day several times earlier in the month, we finally did the big day on Sept.  13.  We thought we would probably not do as well this late in the month, though as it turns out, we did pretty good.  We did really well in the mountains and Lake Cheraw was excellent, with a rare Laughing Gull and a Sabine's Gull, plus lots of terns, shorebirds, ducks, and more.  A pretty good day for mid-September in Colorado."
